The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering providers which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency reported it's alarmed concerning the substantial range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area daily. The company issue made for intervention activities a substantial influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it hard to the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional here sources to enable the servicing of all prospects and enhance access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
